   MEDICAL AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT ACTIVITES REPORT

 

Maternal Health & Nutrition Services: In order to provide better and quality services to pregnant women in a timely manner, ANC Cases are being registered within 12 weeks, for early detection of high-risk pregnancies. Efforts are being made to reduce operation deliveries by providing better quality services in government hospitals, promoting and encouraging normal deliveries. 

 

Amma Kosam:- As part of this programme, postnatal health services provided to PNC cases and infants up to one year, every Thursday in all Primary Health Centers. As part of this program, services have been provided to 621 mothers.

Samagra Mahila Arogya Karyakramam: Arogya Mahila scheme aims to providing comprehensive health care facilities exclusively for women every Tuesday in health facilities. As part of the programme 57 types of medical tests will be conducted for women in all age groups. In this scheme 8 types of services are providing.

Universal Immunization Programme (UIP): This program involves continuous immunization of all children aged 0-5 years to protect against twelve life-threatening diseases. 

Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram:  RBSK is a program to improve the overall quality of life of children and provide comprehensive care to all the children in the community. All the children of the schools were screened by 8 RBSK teams in the district.

 

National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP): As part of the National Tuberculosis elimination Programme, we are carrying out a surveillance program for continuous detection of tuberculosis patients. T.B cases are identifying and treating through the 7 DMC centers and the CBNAAT located in the district hospital.  To take better nutritious food during the TB treatment period 500 rupees in per month and 700 rupees in tribal areas are paid to the patients.

National Leprosy Elimination Programme (NLEP): As part of the National Leprosy Prevention Program, a leprosy case detection campaign is conducted every year in all villages by ASHA workers and Health Assistants to identify the disease. 

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP): As part of the National Vector Born Disease Control Program, health workers at the primary health center level visit homes to identify malaria, dengue, etc.  and provide treatment for fevers.  Every Tuesday and Friday in all villages and towns,” Dry day’’ is conducted to remove breeding points and take measures to prevent the development of mosquitoes.

Non-Communicable Diseases: – As part of this program 30 years above people were Screened for non-communicable diseases across the district.

Telangana Diagnostic Hub: 91 type of blood tests are conducting at T-Diagnostic Hub. Blood samples have been collecting from all primary health centers in the district through the 5 T-Hub vehicles and testing at Telangana Diagnostic Hub.
